SBB Fire and Rescue offers American Heart Association Heart Saver and First Aid classes for groups within the community as well as BLS CPR Courses for Healthcare Providers.
Upon request, SBB Fire and Rescue can install Smoke Alarms and Carbon Monoxide Detectors within your household. Currently, we do not have a surplus of Smoke Alarms and Carbon Monoxide alarms, however, if the homeowner is able to purchase these, our personnel will still install them at no cost. Please remember to test your smoke alarms monthly and replace batteries twice yearly.
Home Safety Surveys can be conducted upon request for your residence. Our Duty Crew can walk through and make sure there are an appropriate number of Smoke/CO Alarms, limited trip hazards, clear routes for evacuation, and fire hazard identification.
Upon request, Fire Extinguisher training can be conducted at our station for organizations and businesses. Proper techniques and extinguisher selection will be covered.
SBB Fire and Rescue takes an active role in being involved with fire safety, prevention and education at the early childhood level within the local school system. Station tours for groups from our community and beyond are also available.
Reflective Green address signs can be made upon request by contacting the on-duty fire officer.
